I’m a St. Louis native who has had a passion for theater and dance from a young age. I started dance lessons at the age of seven, and quickly found myself wanting to learn more. At the small school I was attending, I was able to take classes in dance, drama, musical theater, piano, and stagecraft; All before the age of eleven! The latter held my attention most strongly. Throughout middle school and high school I learned to build and paint sets, create props, call shows, and hang and focus lights. After graduating high school early I picked up some paid work as an assistant lighting designer for my mentor. I found I had an aptitude for the creative aspect of designing, and really enjoyed being involved with dance again. I graduated from University of Missouri-St. Louis in May of 2011 with a B.F.A. in Theater with an emphasis in lighting design. Throughout the last 15 years of working professionally in local theater and dance I have worked primarily in lighting design, as well as in stage management. I’ve enjoyed working with a wide variety of companies from all over the world; in concert venues, churches, black box theatres, schools, etc. Variety is the spice of life, and it’s what keeps the industry so interesting and engaging for me.
